Talkeetna is at the edge of Susitna North. 10A Village is not just a small group of people living away from the masses. A Village is a self defining, self governing, and for the most part self sustaining group of peoples who live in cohesive coordination. If the group gets too big for its environment or requires layers of intervention problems begin to arise. It is best not to let that happen.  Talkeetna was made famous by inspiring the television series Northern Exposure. Stubb's, the Cat Mayor solidified the popularity of Talkeetna for 20 years until shortly after fl arrived in 2017. l never got to see him. He was too old to entertain by the time l got here. The image of him here is from my favorite picture. He was watching over his Village as l am sure he still does. Like all people and places Talkeetna has gone through some changes. l feel very fortunate to have found my place among rooted Villagers from back in the day. It gives me faith that the Alaskan Way has a chance to resurect where cracks began to chip at the bones of my home.

lt is early fall, 2025. Ukraine is demonstrating to the world what every nation needs to rise to be. It is time to stop the beast. The beast is waste. The beast is hate. The beast is greed. The beast is unaccountability.
